Formula 1 is now a truly global event. Traditional European venues have been joined in recent years by spanking new tracks in the Middle East and Asia. Together with circuits across the Americas, the drivers and their cars are tested to the limit in an ever-growing variety of conditions.
The season begins Down Under in Australia on the street circuit of Melbourne on March 25 where all the teams will be hoping their winter testing and preparation pays off with the perfect start. The tour then moves on to Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, Shanghai in China, and the newest addition to the calendar, the Azerbaijan capital of Baku.

May sees the Formula 1 circus arrive in its spiritual heartland, Europe.
Soak up the sunshine in Barcelona at the Spanish Grand Prix before we come to the most famous weekend of all at the end of the month – the Monaco Grand Prix. The glitz and glamour of the principality’s big day out simply has to be experienced to be believed.
There’s a brief sojourn across The Pond to Canada before the Formula 1 calendar makes a welcome return to France on June 24, and the Circuit Paul Ricard near Marseille.
It kicks off three races in three weeks, continuing in Austria before arriving at Silverstone on July 8.
The treats for European Formula 1 fans continue at Germany ‘s Hockenheim and then beautiful Budapest before the tour takes a brief summer break to refuel the batteries.
It’s back with a bang at the much-loved Spa circuit in Belgium on August 26, and then there’s the chance to enjoy some September sun at Monza in Italy. Will the Prancing Horse of Ferrari race to a much-heralded home victory?
Singapore Grand Prix 2018
Singapore’s night race follows, and the Formula 1 roadshow continues around the streets of Russia Black Sea resort Sochi, and the figure of eight design in Suzuka, Japan.
The United States is falling in love with the sport and the Circuit of the Americas in Texas hosts Race 18 of the calendar on October 21. Mexico and Brazil follow, before we come to the final race in Abu Dhabi on November 25 – will the 2018 season go to a grandstand finish?
